Observation details

I thought I saw an odd chickadee in the flock of Black-capped initially from the bog observation platform but didn’t get a good enough look. Later, I re-located the chickadee flock on the trial between the bog platform trail and the far end trailhead, and they came in close for peanuts. To my utter shock, this Boreal Chickadee suddenly materialized in the flock right in front of me and came within a few feet of my head, peering at the peanuts in my hand. So unlike the shy behavior I have usually experienced with this species. Managed to snap a few crummy pics with my iPhone. My first Boreal here in years.
