Observation details
Third time hiking the bowl. First time seeing Pygmy Nuthatches up here. Last year I tried and failed to see any, and I seriously wondered if they even existed in the Guadalupes. A few weeks ago, someone got photos of this species, and this encouraged me to try again. First heard their high squeaky noises not too far from where bear canyon ends/on the eastern section of the bowl. Only believe I heard 3, but I may have been off.
