Observation details
A small grebe with a dark tipped upturned bill, dusky neck and dark auriculars. Backlit photos are attached. Bird last seen flying towards north end of lake. I scanned the entire lake and was unable to relocate either grebe. Perhaps they are hidden in the lily pads, etc.
