Observation details
Continuing bird found yesterday by M.A. Rotella and M. Butler. Initially seen flying in from the south high overhead, landing in the tall cypress trees nearly directly overhead of the water tower. Seen off and on, almost always high. It left the area at least once and came back. Somewhat flighty/rangy, and tough to get good looks, but was able to obtain at least one diagnostic photo. Seen off and on with J. Luther. Eventually lost it for good. Overall drab/plain spectacularly unspectacular small Leiothlypis warbler. Buffy wash in underparts; plain tail and uppers, thin white eye ring. Almost sure I observed wing bars, indicating a HY bird? Super great Marin County/OP bird! Yo!
