Media notes

Apparently a young bird practicing its vocalizations. Silence was substituted for extraneous noises in order that the normalization would be based on the bird's vocalizations and not my mis-handling of the recorder. The periods of silence are the same duration as the noises they were intended to cover up, so the recording is no longer or shorter than the time the bird spent vocalizing.

Observation details

One of them, presumably a young bird, perched in the top of a mid-sized oak, mixing an occasional "jay" call with a variety of random vocalizations (see recording).
