Observation details
Continuing small immature gull foraging on NW edge of pond. Found yesterday by Verlee S. As it foraged it turned up to 180 degrees frequently in the water much like how a phalarope forages. While swimming on the water the gull showed white undersides with gray uppersides. The gray extended up the nape to the back of the head/crown. Its forehead was white and its short bill was dark. In flight it showed its beautiful dark M pattern on its upper side and wings with a white tail tipped in black.
