Observation details

Amazing rarity found July 6 by Taylor Gervais and still present in the Foleyet area. Observed perched near the town hall on Sherry Ave. Gorgeous dark bodied, SWHA-sized raptor with black cap, white neck, throat, and undertail coverts. Orange facial skin extending from the eye well onto the bill; bill tip grey-blue. Two-tone collar was white with a dark chevron pattern. Wings dark with white tips, tail white with dark terminal band, long yellow legs.
