Observation details

Large, brown shorebird, with long upturned bi-colored bill and med-long gray legs. Back feathers and upper wing coverts with dark brown centers with broad pale buffy scalloped fringes. Full supercilium. Bared rump and upper tail. Juv HUGO has pale grayish centered coverts with more uniform width dull whitish fringes; partial supercilium extending from over the eye to lores; and white rump with black tail).
