Observation details
Yes this is a solid ID. I heard wonderful calls did not know but assistant Merlin helped. Maybe a wren. ?Rock wren?seemed easily more possible but followed a lead and bird came down from high faced cliffs and rock only to come down to bush/ceanothus at fall off edge of road down. It showed itself and went to ceanothus. Hopped on burnt trunks , rocks- did not it seemed want to leave us but we know less is more.White water creek below. Curved bill; Clear white throat chest to belly ; belly saturated rufous; lower belly and rufous in a tail with slim dark bands. Calling its own distinctive call.
