Observation details
Originally, seen perched upright, 25 feet above ground in a snag. The prominent white eyerings are what first caught my attention. Gray overall plumage, paler gray underparts and darker gray upperparts. Dark gray tail with prominent white outer tail feathers. After 5 minutes, the solitaire flew down while flycatching and then landed in a shrub 15 feet west of me. In flight, the bird had prominent buffy wing patches. It briefly flycatched from the shrub, and then flew out of sight to the west. I snapped some poor resolution photos, that show the gray overall plumage and white outer tail feathers, but the lighting and resolution were too poor to capture the white eyerings.
