Observation details

Originally identified as Acadian Flycatcher, but careful assessment of recordings and pictures reveal this was likely a Yellow-bellied. Heard squeaky whistle call numerous times on the hillside south of our house. Sounded a little like the squeaky toy call of Acadian which biased me toward that ID. Got some recordings and pictures of it and I thought, that looks like a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher but it is giving an Acadian call. Later assessment of audio indicates it was giving a typical tertiary Yellow-bellied call that I was not familiar with. Very green upperparts and very yellow underparts especially upper breast and throat. Low-contrast throat with olive breast band as well. All orange lower mandible. Primary extension a little difficult to see but appeared moderate. Broad based bill relatively large for the body size but not quite as massive as expected for Acadian. Posting images and recording here. Note that bird has since been observed several time since this sighting and confirmed as Yellow-bellied based on various calls and better views.
