Observation details

Very rare. By far the latest record in Montana on eBird and apparently a first county record. I believe this was an immature. Upper mandible was dark, lower mandible yellow. The bird had a yellow eyering, a rufous patch in the primaries (visible on folded wings and in flight), and the white spots on the underside of the tail were larger than the black spots. First seen in the bushes in the alley west of the USPS, with 3 REVIs nearby, at around 9:15 am. I later saw it again pretty much due west in the trees on the west side of Montana Street.
