Observation details
But there could have been more. As I walked along Arboretum Drive from Skunk Cabbage Bridge and headed south I looked for birds to the west along the creek. When I was about to turn west and walk up the hill I noticed birds flying just above the trees to the west above Wingra Woods. When I looked with my binoculars I was able to identify them as Chimney Swifts. The Swifts flew back and forth from north to south and then back to the north. There must have been good insects just above the trees that the swifts were feeding on. Since I had never seen this many Chimney Swifts flying above the trees like this I stood and watched them and photographed them for about a half hour. Attached are some photos of the flying Chimney Swifts.
