Observation details
Lifer! Was scanning the big BOGU flocks when I noticed a gull being chased by a BOGU, I brought up my binocs to see a beautiful adult Sabine’s Gull in full breeding plumage. It flew around calling (sounds a bit like a Sandhill Crane) before landing in the flock. I kayaked towards the bird and got photos. About half an hour later, the bird flew north alone and away from the flock, calling once more.
