Reported by Noah Brinkman earlier today. Juvenile with rich solid tan coloring, darker brown wings, slightly greenish tint to wing tips, no white patch on sides (like common gallinule), short tail pointed upward, white under tail, large feet with long toes, walking over lily pads, not wading in water, gray spot on forehead, large dark eye, greenish yellow legs, feet appear more orange-ish, occasionally sinks belly deep in the shallow water, but then hops back up on the lily pads and continues walking, noticing some orange coloring on bill at some angles, remains solitary.
