Observation details
Seen on the banding table, where it was carefully measured to separate it from similar species. (The proportion between the primary feathers played an important role in the formula.) Notable to the naked eye was its strong greenish color, whereas Willow Flycatcher would be browner. The throat was creamy white in contrast with a darker belly, this contrast is said to be less pronounced in Willow. There was also a notable but not too strong eye ring. I added a poor quality picture but in Jeremy Nance's checklist there should be clearer ones.
