Watching mayfly it dropped into water and waiting for a fish to show up
Observation details
Observed bird using Mayfly to fish. Carried Mayfly to multiple perches over water. Drop, watch, then retrieve. Repeat. Observed this behavior for almost an hour. The bird was not successful. Have read they did this, but this is tirst time I have observed this behavior. See images.
