Observation details
In Bill Forward Pool, seen first from the blind, then from the Hellcat dike. They were sleeping when I first saw them, then about an hour later they took off after a Peregrine Falcon dive-bombed the shorebirds. Large Terns with black caps (one starting to loose it) and huge orange-red bills. Always a treat for me when I see these birds. In the poor photo, there is also a Tricolored Heron on the right behind the gulls.
