Observation details

Rare. Medium-sized shorebird with long bill and pale eyebrow, feeding with sewing machine motion. About the same size as adjacent Killdeer. Seen on far edge of the flats with great scope views, but, at a distance suitable for only documentation photos. Bird found earlier this morning by Dan Bailey. Third Bedford record, and first occurrence in 38 years. Bedford lifer no. 258.
