NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 12. Bulk reel: 216 203 tape. a) 19 April 1970, 5:30 AM. Natural songs; two "phrases." Quality: 2. Level" +3. Nagra IV recorder. b) 19 April 1970, 6:05 AM. A little later bird started singing again and while I was changing to Nagra III recorder, to be able to record @ higher gain, the bird gave a display. I left the recorder running and obtained several songs. There are also heard several short calls (by a female? present). [Margin note:] "Probably not female; probably same male. Then bird stopped singing, but started again much closer and while I was trying to refocus it gave another display. The displays given were just like those at Cano El Teteo: the two-part wing-whir being preceded by an initial single slap. Quality: 2-. Level: 0. Tape 203. Nagra III recorder. Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display.
