Observation details
*local breeding pairs, dark backed picoides sp. w/ distinctive lightly speckled back, more rounded head appearance than bbwo, giving weaker “pwek” calls while actively foraging by flaking. Male w/ distinctive yellow cap. Initially HO until we stumbled across the whole feeding group. Exact location not specified to protect a likely nesting pairs :) Photos & audio
