Observation details

First group of three just below Burnt Mtn saddle. Another bird was calling clearly about 50 yards down the trail. This bird appeared to be a recently fledged young, shaking its wings and begging. An adult with food in its beak flew in and fed the youngster THEN disappeared into a hole in a birch tree where we could hear begging nestlings!
