Observation details
Nice find this morning by Sheryl, Tom and Dominic. Long-legged black and white wading birds with long, thin upturned bills, grayish-blue legs. Buffy heads and necks fading out of breeding plumage. Second picture has the Avocets in it too, tucked in under the left end of the downed log. All I could think of was that they were taking their "thou shall not spook" clues from the local Ring-billed Gulls, who have grown accustomed to typical summer human activities on the shore.
