At least this many foraging together, including one streaky juvenile, giving begging vocalizations. Curious how many previous breeding records there are for the state. ID by flight call, a low pitched, resonant and descending flight call. Both observers very familiar with Crossbill ID by flight call. In typical fashion for Colorado Cassia Crossbills (or whatever these birds are), the flight calls lacked the initial upward component of the flight call that is typically present in birds from the south hills.
