Observation details
I first saw the common gallinule here on 7/15/25. (Reported originally by someone else) I have returned several times since then. Some days they were visible and some days not. When visible they usually stayed close to the reeds. When seen usually one adult and up to three juveniles. Was surprised today to see 2 adults and at least 8 (different) juveniles, apparently recently hatched, little black fuzz balls. Apparently second brood? Black marsh bird with red bill and forehead shield and white stripe on side. Back of camera photos.
