Observation details
Alone on the beach - not near any other birds. Was hesitant to ID it as a PIPL because it had a complete breast band and seemed a little dark for a PIPL. However, its legs were orange and it had 4 bands (3 on one leg and 1 on the other) of various colors. Overall, it just didn’t look right for a SEPL ID and I seriously doubt a SEPL would have 4 bands! I’m calling it a first summer PIPL but would revise if not correct. Pics attached.
