Observation details

Large sandpiper, similar in size to GRYE, but shorter bill and different posture, more awkward almost. Back speckled black on rich rufous brown. The scaps and tertials were loose and flopping around, giving the bird a shaggy-backed look. Observed by many others concurrently. Photos
