Observation details
Found earlier by K.H. Group of 8 sandpipers at the southern end of the Arroyo Grande Creek mouth. Semipalmated Sandpiper was most distinguished by a very scalloped patterned back with no rufous tone that the Westerns had. The bill was short, straight, and had a conical shape. Overall a lighter color tone than the other sandpipers.
