Observation details
**rare; photographed flying off neck in morning flight. Female/immature type; flying off with YEWA; warbler with pale yellowish underparts and a buzzy zeet flight call which did stick out as being much differ from YEWA in the moment; snagged one good photo which showed whitish undertail coverts, short tail with diagnostic white tail spots. Blurry photos showed white upperwing covert bars. Photos included for reference. Third year in a row having Cerulean in morning flight here. Prior records are July 30, 2023 and August 21, 2024. MJI has also recorded a spring record here. Seems Gooseberry is a great spot for highlighting this species early migration. Likely under detected this early in migration due to not a lot of people watching morning flights yet.
