General habitat: in spruce tree 8" [feet? - AF]. Cover Density: Medium.) Tape counter 255-280. Breeds in northern Ontario. This individual was late moving into its normal breeding territory. Foraging at a height of 3 to 4 meters in rather dense spruce tree. [Soft and not so soft tapping and rustling by the feet on the bark by a foraging bird. There appears to be a "cryptic" stop-start just before 1:26. Quality added (2) - CAM - 21 April 2005]. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest.
