Observation details
Continuing rarity initially found by John Barton and seen by many observers over last few days. Small black and white warbler (distinctly smaller than MYWA and BCCH) with black cheek patch bordered by white, black throat; dark streaks along flanks, underparts otherwise white. Gray back with dark streaks, white wingbars. Yellow spots on front of lores. Watched foraging for about 45 min - usually surprisingly high in willows and other deciduous trees given the blustery weather with occasional wet snow. Frequently detected by chip note, drier and flatter than MYWA, reminiscent of BTNW. Many photos and a couple of recordings.
