Observation details

Heard fledgling begging calls as soon as I arrived. An adult showed up a few minutes later and I was able to locate 2 juv and the adult visually. All three were about 3/4ths of the way up the steep canyon wall west of the road, so the calls are fairly faint in this recording. Beginning of the recording is when the adult came in to where the young were perched in a snag. Initial ID based on fairly robust, descending klyeer calls (vs thinner, squeakier juv calls of COHA). ID confirmed when I saw the heavy bodied, gray adult with pale underparts vs reddish barring of a COHA belly.
