Observation details
Banded (1A01651); Pale base to lower mandible. p2 = 9/10 (numbered ascendantly); p1 + 7 mm > longest primary covert. Crown stripe and pale tertial tips, yellow rump patch. Called persistently in hand, calls recorded by John Willsher. This was the first identification of this species in Thailand in real time , though later examination of older, Thailand-taken museum specimens by PDR, labelled as P. chloronotus, revealed that most were, in fact, P. yunnanensis
