Observation details

Small sparrow with flat head and short tail. No good enough look to see coloration. Song was buzzy tic tac tZEEE. Habitat was knee high dry grassland . The song matched Cornell labs recording. Merlin sound app identified as grasshopper sparrow about 8 times. The call is quiet but I got a recording downloaded. Grasshopper sparrow can be heard at 17 seconds and 20 seconds. I keep listening to the recording. There's a pretty good song at 30 second mark.
