Observation details

Lifer for both me and Ike; very nice find by Shirley Reynolds! Both rare and earlier than usual, with it being considered "unreported" for the county in June. Dull coloration dissonant from that of Westerns, and while the original consensus was a Least with muddy legs, much analysis from other birders, especially Braxton Landsman, resulted in the conclusion that it was most likely a Semipalmated. Willing to downgrade if something else comes up, but it seems about right. Photos shown to a group of several other birders online, some of whom are based in the typical range of SESA, and they all agreed on the identification, for whatever that's worth.
