Observation details

**Rare, local - Medium-sized, streaky sandpipers with thin yellow bills, fluttering flight style. Chattering calls in flight, one individual gave a single “wolf whistle” fairly soon after my arrival. All three seen in flight simultaneously. Two individuals preferred fairly narrow strip of mixed, dry vegetation between sections of corn field. Occasionally, one individual perched on top of second telephone post north of M45. Per conversation with Caleb Putnam, they must have placed nest in pure ag field before corn crop flourished. Please do not use playback on these likely breeding UPSA! Have sound recording of twittering display and photos
