Observation details

After seeing the earlier reports of this rarity to the area we headed to Point Reyes to see if we could locate it. We started at 7 am and walked between the Fish Docks and the garage just after residents house, we heard it several times and finally got lucky as it flew to the ground near the garage and managed one quick identifiable shot before it flew back into the Cypress trees,we stayed till 10.30 and checked the trees on both the residents and Fish Docks sides a few more times but without any further success.
