Observation details
**Life bird!! Continuing pair in the Eldridge Rd. marsh just before the intersection with Webhannet Drive. The first bird we saw was the male when it came out into the open in the largest small pool north of the road. After just a few moments in the open, he ducked back into the rushes. About ten minutes later, the female, who had much less rufous on the head and bill (see photo), walked out of the reeds in the SE corner of the same small pool. She remained still for a while, giving us great looks at the bold streaks on her scapulars and uppertail coverts and the orange on her neck and breast. We never saw the female again after that, but we saw the male off and on every 15 minutes or so until we left around 11:45.
