Observation details
Initially entered as continuing as assumed these could be the Chilao birds foraging away from the nest. This seems to be supported by some foraging research https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9487155/ I ID'd these birds without bins from the car and pulled over and photographed them to get a record. I never looked at them with my bins. Photos suggest that this could be a young male - initially I thought it was an adult. I've tried to remove some of the shadows and there appears to be some paler areas on the underside (but may be sunlight on the bird?). That said, even given quality of photos, maybe it suggests a darker bird that the male at Chilao?
