Observation details

Found by song, a somewhat fast whistled vireo phrase, quick rich and musical. Recordings obtained. In a canyon of mixed cottonwoods and pine. The bird itself was fairly plain, with white underparts (bit of yellow on the under tail coverts) and pale greenish upperparts, a long bill and a long pale eyebrow bordered by a darker gray crown and a dark eye line. Red eye also. More elongate than a warbling vireo, especially in the head and bill. Even came over to “bray” at a nutcracker in classic REVI fashion.
