Observation details
Stakeout Anhinga. Rare, casual vagrant continuing on Lake Whitney. Flew in around 2pm after an hour and a half wait and circled north of the Waite Street bridge gliding down for a landing on its favorite roost, a fallen pine in the water. Long neck and very thin long pointed bill compared with Double-crested cormorants nearby. Whitish upper wing coverts, long wings and long wedge-shaped tail. Photos.
