Observation details

Seen and heard at possible breeding location. Both birds returned to same spot to hover, circle, and perch—4 times over 2 hours. See photo of each bird. One bird was also observed feeding the other. Species has not been confirmed breeding in Ottawa County since early 2000s. We did not approach possible nest site out of fear of flushing and endangering possible chicks.
