Observation details

Heard calls at 20s and 53s on the attached audio. In Erie Co., NY, I typically encounter this species in fairly mature forests that have stand of Eastern Hemlock; the birds encountered today at this location were in areas that contained Douglas Fir and Larch sp. I had an individual of this species calling earlier in the day at Chimney Bluffs SP and short distance away, and I no conifers were visible to me, but the bird was distant. It may have been in a stand of Hemlock or other conifer species.
