Observation details
Flew into a window at our house :( and was stunned on the patio. It was alert but didn't appear to make an attempt to fly off. After a few hours when it started to rain, we brought it into the house and kept it in a warm box. It accepted and ate a couple tent caterpillars that we found around the house. It was eventually relocated to a wildlife rehabilitation center nearby who put the bird on fluids and indicated that it did not have a broken wing. Somehow this is the second of this rare bird that I saw today (and the third that was reported in the county today). It is a banner year for tent caterpillars, which is the YBCU's primary food source this time of year...
