Observation details

Fortunately I was able to sit on a bench on the opposite side of the lake for 15 minutes as the heron patiently waited motionlessly . I was quite quite surprised when it darted down and came back up with chipmunk. It took only a minute or two of shaking its prey before the chipmunk rapidly swallowed.
