Observation details

I am used to seeing Hermit Thrushes and first entered this observation as Hermit Thrush. When I entered the first photo eBird corrected me and said it did not detect Hermit Thrush but rather identified the bird in the photo as Swainson's Thrush. Guidebook maps show that Swainson's Thrush migrates through our area in the spring while Hermit Thrush is seen here in the winter. Other than that detail they are so similar I cannot really tell them apart.
