Observation details

Following each other & calling. Heard both male & female calls. No alarm call. Typical repeated "Koink" call & a softer, lower toned call from several meters upstream. Had initial visuals of adult male on opposite side of creek from trail. When the male flew out, female appeared & followed. Both seen by Nancy & several hikers on the trail at that point & time. Continued to contact call until landing in trees close to the end of this transect. Phone photos were taken by Nancy of male close to the transect's end point. Locations seen on this transect: 31.862, -109.190 and 31.855, -109.191. Same pair.
