Observation details

Orange legs, grey head, pale gray (if not white seeming) throat, yellow body. Was found preening in shaded bush over stream, flew to grass on bank and briefly was hopping on ground through shade of sunlit grass/virginia creeper and feeding, took off up slope to West. Female coloration. [NOTE: I had originally described the locomotion as "walking" but in consultation with our reviewer, looked at the video again and feel like the bird was hopping under the brightly lit vegetation. It was hard to discern in real time and I probably should have said "moving", but video helped out here to confirm the type of locomotion IMO.]
