Media notes

Unexpected nocturnal calls of a bird in flight. First call is obvious at 0.02 the second at 0.14 is barely audible.

Observation details

I had just walked into the front garden, and I heard a clear call come from the darkness to the SE. A brief pause and a second call a bit closer, I recognised the call and quickly pulled out my phone to record it, slightly unfortunately the bird flew on an arc towards the east, moving further away. Thankfully, I got a recording of it before its calls faded into the darkness.
