Observation details
A first for our yard bird list. Swainson's Thrushes can be heard singing, in the evenings, nearby off Hillside Trail. Plain, solid greyish-olive back with no reddish feathers. Slight thin, buffy eye-ring with light "spectacle" area on lores. Bird popped out from under the cedars and underbrush along the lawn edge. It was hopping and feeding in the leaf litter under the trees.
